Free Peer Consultation for Registered Clinical Counsellors
When I opened my private practice in June 2025, I struggled to find a peer consultation group. I searched for groups using google, I scrolled through several old posts via BCACC eConnect discussion groups, and I asked a few folks for recommendations. It seemed like no one had a peer consultation group (or at least no one was looking for new members).
So, I decided to start my own!
If you meet at least one of the criteria below, you may be a good fit for my groups:
Works with young people (0-25 years old),
Uses cognitive and related therapies (CBT, DBT, ACT, SFBT, MI, etc).
Works with parents and/or families.
Niche areas:
Anxiety and related, including but not limited to: Social anxiety, OCD, BFRB, Perfectionism, Unhelpful self-talk and/or ruminating thoughts.
Depression.
Executive functioning (motivation, planning, goal setting, coaching, etc).
Neurodivergence, including but not limited to: ADHD, Autism.
In solo private practice.
You do not need to meet all these criteria. If you do not meet any of them but you still wish to join, please reach out! Practicum students and interns are welcome.
These windows have blinds for privacy.
*These are peer consultation groups and do not count as supervision. However, if you are seeking ways to fulfill supervision hours for supervisor designations, please let me know – I am open to sharing my space with you if it will also benefit the group.
Schedule:
Group 1: Virtual – 4th Tuesday of the month from 11am-12pm
June 23rd, July 28, August 25, September 22, October 27, November 24, December 22.
The schedule for 2027 will be available in the fall.
Location: Zoom.
Group 2: In person – second Tuesday of the month from 11am-1pm.
June 9, July 14, August 11, September 8 (VIRTUAL), October 13, November 10, December 8.
The schedule for 2027 will be available in the fall.
Location: 5th floor, 224 Esplanade W, North Vancouver.
Tea available.
