Meet Alexina, RCC in North Vancouver
It’s time to kick anxiety out of the driver’s seat!
Anxiety might come for the ride, but it doesn’t get to drive the bus.
You’re here because your mind doesn’t stop.
Every decision gets overanalyzed, every feeling gets picked apart, and you feel stuck in mental spirals that feel urgent, convincing, and impossible to step out of on your own.
You’re tired of feeling like your thoughts run the show, pulling you into overthinking and endless “what ifs.” You want relief, but not at the cost of lowering your standards or forcing yourself to “think positively.”
I’m willing to bet:
YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.
HOW I WORK
My approach is about shifting how you respond to your thoughts, so they don’t run the show.
In sessions, I focus on creating a safe, collaborative space where you can share openly and work at a pace that feels tolerable, even when the work is uncomfortable. I check in often, offer grounding tools like mindfulness exercises and small fidgets, and use metaphors, analogies, and visuals to make experiences like anxiety and OCD more understandable.
We also bring humour into our work (light, respectful, and well-timed) because even difficult moments can feel a little easier when we laugh together.
Throughout, I tailor the strategies and tools to your needs, so you can gradually notice more flexibility in how you respond to your thoughts, more ease in your body, and more freedom to make choices based on your values rather than your anxiety.
Therapy with me is:
We build trust first, so you feel safe to share what’s really going on. Our work is grounded in connection, not just techniques, and your experience guides the pace and focus of every session.
Relational
Compassionate
We work together to understand your thoughts, anxieties, and patterns, and co-create strategies that actually fit your life. You’re not being “fixed”—you’re actively shaping your own growth.
I meet you where you are, without judgment, and truly understand the difficulty of living with anxiety and overthinking. Our work is gentle and compassionate, even when it’s hard, guided by patience, understanding, and humor.

POWER & PRIVILEDGE IN THE THERAPY ROOM
A space where your story is central, and I approach therapy with collaboration, respect, and careful attention to power and identity.
I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to offer guidance and evidence-based tools while respecting your perspective.
I am a straight, white-passing (Indigenous maternal grandparents), cisgender, neurodivergent woman, with lower socioeconomic status experience. I stay mindful of how my identity and experiences shape the lens I bring to therapy, reflect on the power dynamics in our work, and consider how my words and actions impact our sessions.
My goal is a safe, collaborative space where your story is central, and my awareness, humility, and training support you without letting my own perspective get in the way.
Life Outside Therapy
Outside of therapy, I love reading, trail running, photography (especially capturing trail races!), bingeing comfort shows like The Office or Friends, and petting my dog.
I’m always drinking tea, can talk for hours about ultramarathons, Jodi Picoult novels, or behind-the-scenes trivia from my favourite shows—did you know that Dwight’s fitness orb cold open in The Office involved multiple takes of Jim popping it until the last ball unexpectedly collapsed, making everyone’s reactions real?
I try to live simply, minimise consumerism, stay grounded in the present, and value connection—often on trails with friends.
Ready to Work Together?
If you’re ready to start taking back control from anxiety or OCD, without judgment and at your own pace, I’d love to work with you.
