Have you ever felt like you have so much potential, but something inside is holding you back? Then you’ve come to the right place! I support clients to overcome challenges and make changes by getting out of their minds and into their lives. I support them in exploring unhelpful patterns of thinking and making small changes in their lives, moving them closer to their preferred future.

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to work in healthcare. I love people and it is an honor to be trusted with such intimate information about their lives. I enjoy working with teens and young adults who are typically in transitional times in their lives, moving from high school to post-secondary education, jobs, relationships, and independence.

My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, culturally informed, and person-centered. I strive to create a strong relationship built on trust, safety, and unconditional positive regard.

I hold a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Biology and a Minor in Psychology. I received my Master of Counselling Psychology from Adler University, with specialization in School and Youth Populations. I am a member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me running trails on the North Shore!

My Approach

People come to therapy for many reasons, but at the end of the day, it all boils down to one driving force: they want to live a fuller, better, happier life; a life in line with their values. Many people who come to therapy have been successful in many parts of their life; they did well in school, they have healthy relationships with friends. But as they’re driving down the path of life, the road gets muddy, and their tires get stuck! Their wheels spin and spin. They have the tools they need to pull themselves out, they just need a little help to do it.

Enter therapy!

Using a (primarily) Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy approach, I help young people pull their proverbial tires out of the mud by making small changes to their automatic thoughts and behaviours. I also help them to develop coping skills and build resilience to manage life’s challenges.
